Shipping Policy

GREAT FLAVORS AWAIT YOU!

Our hand-curated sausages are made fresh each week, and are shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to ensure your order doesn’t hang around in a delivery warehouse or truck over the weekend. It’s our way of ensuring your sausage is as fresh and delicious when it arrives at your doorstep as it was when it left ours.

We process orders in the order they are received, typically shipping within 3-7 business days depending on location & temperature (check our Holiday Shipping & Holiday Closure Schedules for exceptions). We recommend submitting your order by Sunday so we can do our best to pick, pack & ship the coming week. This is for standard orders only. Large or

custom orders may require a 2–3-week lead time depending on size, availability and transportation method.

We ship anywhere in the U.S., including Hawaii and Alaska. Depending on where you live, your order will arrive in 1-7+ business days after shipping. See the map below for approximate transit days by region.

How your order will arrive.

The way we pack your order depends on the following: transit time, the products you ordered, and the time of year (warm or cold months). We do use bubble wrap, packing peanuts, Styrofoam packing material and ice packs if your order includes perishable items. We do not use dry ice.

Since our products are shipped as fresh as possible, even if items defrost during transit, there is no harm in refreezing.

Shipping rates and regional information.

Prices listed on individual product pages do not include shipping rates, which are estimated by the total weight, dimension and shipping destination of your order at the time of checkout. All shipping charges are estimated based on carrier market rates and fuel surcharges. We may contact you to adjust shipping priority and charges as necessary.

During the warmer months of May – October, we require perishable orders be shipped Overnight or 2nd Day Air as the weather dictates. Our primary shipping partners are FedEx, USPS, and Speedee.

Holiday Shipping Schedule

Our 2025 Holiday Shipping Schedule will be in effect from November 25, 2025, through January 5, 2026.

To receive your order by Christmas, be sure to place your order by December 8, 2025. Orders received after December 8 will be shipped best effort and may arrive after Christmas. Please plan ahead so you or your loved one will receive their order in time.

Holiday Closure Schedule

Bavaria Sausage will be closed in observance of New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Prices & Product Availability

All currently available products are shown on our web site. However, if a particular product you have ordered is temporarily out of stock, we may contact you to offer a substitute of equal value or a refund. Prices are subject to change without notice.

If you experience a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as you receive the package, but no later than 48 hours from the time of delivery. Credit will only be issued with prior authorization from our customer service department and in some cases, we may request the product be returned. Please do not throw any product away prior to contacting us.

Due to transport times and other import issues, we are not responsible for out-of-date products, i.e. Mustards, Seasonings, etc. Product will go long past the best by dates on packages. An unopened jar of mustard lasts for up to 2 years beyond the printed expiration date when stored in a dry place such as a kitchen cabinet or pantry.

Please review the following EXCEPTIONS to our refund policy:

1. Customer provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address when placing the order.

2. Delivered packages were left outside for extended periods of time.

3. Weather or natural disaster delayed delivery of package(s).

4. Customer selected products or quantities in error.

5. Products were delivered fresh, intact and as described on website, but customer simply did not care for the ‘taste’ of the product, or it did not meet their ‘expectations’.

6. Customer did not contact us within 48 hours of the time of delivery.

Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy

How To Return An Item

Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect; you must return the item within 15 days of your purchase.

  1. Please email us at Bavaria@bavariasausage.com or call us at 1-800-733-6695 to request a refund and or new product. We will work with you. If this was your order mistake then we will not pay to ship back, but will credit you for the product when returned
     Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.
  2. If we shipped you an incorrect product, please call us within 48 hours.
  1. As of July 2019, we will no longer be crediting back $ for non-perishable and some perishable products that come in with short or expired dates. Because of Covid, containers have been coming in months late.  These come from Germany this way, and it in no way effects most products. They will go months past the date. This has been a problem the last 5 years, and we have no control over this. Otherwise we will not have these products available any more.
  2. We will not be responsible for products that spoil due to natural disasters or Weather Delays.

Return Exceptions

If you received your order and products were broken, spoiled due to box being lost and then found, or opened, call us right away. We will put in a claim for the products with the shipper. Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange.

Restocking Fee

All items are subject to a 10% restocking fee, this will be deducted from your refund. We also do not refund the original shipping and handling that you paid on the order.

Exchanges

If your clothing item is in like new condition, you may exchange your clothing item for a different size or color. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you still will have to pay return shipping.

Privacy Policy

This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy SERIOUSLY and will take all measures to protect your personal information.

What Information Do We Collect?

We only collect information that we need that is related to your order. This includes your:
    Billing Address
    Shipping Address
    Email Address
    Credit Card Information

In addition we also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing.

How Is My Information Used?

Your information is only used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information to ANYONE.

Security and Storage

Only your order data billing, shipping, and order contents data is stored on our server. This information is encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over a web server. We do not store your Credit Card data.

Cookies and Browser Information

Cookies are small files that reside on your computer and allow us to recognize you on your next visit or store your shopping cart contents. We use them only to track this information.
