
We ship exclusively with FedEx. Orders are processed in the order that they are received and can take anywhere between 3–7 business days to fulfill depending on order volumes. Here are the expectations for the following FedEx delivery methods:
- FedEx Smartpost: delivers in 2-7 business days (Monday–Friday)

FedEx Ground/Home Delivery: delivers in 1–5 business days (Monday–Friday) between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. or on weekends if weekend service is available.
- FedEx Express Saver: delivers in 3 business days (Monday–Friday) at businesses by 5:00 p.m. and residences by 8:00 p.m.
- FedEx 2Day A.M.: delivers in 2 business days (Monday–Friday) by 10:30 a.m. to businesses and 12:00 p.m. to residences.
- FedEx 2Day: delivers in 2 business days (Monday–Friday) by 5:00 p.m. to businesses and 8:00 p.m. to residences.
- FedEx First Overnight: delivers the following business day (Monday–Friday) between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- FedEx Priority Overnight: delivers the following business day (Monday–Friday) by 10:30 a.m. for businesses, and by 12:00 p.m. for residences.
- FedEx Standard Overnight: delivers the following business day (Monday–Friday) by 5:00 p.m. to business and 8:00 p.m. to residences.
Please Note: Neither Bavaria Sausage nor FedEx delivers New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Before you finish placing an order, please check your local weather conditions and select an appropriate shipping method. Bavaria Sausage is not responsible for orders affected by weather. If Ground/Home Delivery is selected for an order that contains perishable items, no matter the time of year, we are not responsible for any depreciation of quality.
If you enter an address wrong or select an incorrect shipping delivery option to meet your needs and would like to make a change, your order will be subsequently cancelled and refunded, and you will have to place a new order with the correct information.
After your order has been shipped, and has left our building, we are no longer able to cancel that order, due to the fact that it is no longer in our possession. If you would like your order to arrive by a certain time, please include that in the order notes, so we can do our best to try to make sure that it arrives at your desired time.
September through December are our busiest months of the year. If you are looking to meet a specific deadline to have your order arrive by, please place your order as early as possible and add order notes explaining your needs.
If you forget to add an item to your order before checking out, please place a second order to accommodate those needs.
We make award-winning sausages fresh each week. Our shipping schedule depends on weather and the shipping method selected. When it's hot we only ship Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to ensure your order doesn’t linger in a delivery warehouse or truck over the weekend. It’s our way of ensuring your sausage is as fresh and delicious when it arrives at your doorstep as it was when it left ours.
Large or custom orders may require a 2–3-week lead time depending on size, availability and transportation method.
How your order will arrive.
We pack your order by hand, adjusting for:
- transit time for the shipping method you selected
- products you ordered
- time of year (warm or cold months)
We use bubble wrap, packing peanuts, Styrofoam packing material and ice packs if your order includes perishable items. We do not use dry ice. Since our products are shipped as fresh as possible, even if items defrost during transit, there is no harm in refreezing.
Shipping rates and regional information.
Prices listed on individual product pages do not include shipping rates. They are estimated by the total weight, dimension and shipping destination at checkout. Shipping charges are estimated based on carrier market rates and fuel surcharges. We may contact you to adjust shipping priority and charges as necessary.
During the warmer months of May – October, we require perishable orders be shipped Overnight or 2nd Day Air as the weather dictates. Our primary shipping partner is FedEx.
Holiday Shipping Schedule
Our Holiday Shipping Schedule is in effect from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day.
To receive your order by Christmas, be sure to place your order by December 7th. We don't slow down but weather and our shippers can deeply affect times. Orders received after December 7th will be shipped and may arrive after Christmas. Please plan ahead so you and your loved ones receive their order in time.
Prices & Product Availability
All currently available products are shown on our web site. However, if a particular product you have ordered is temporarily out of stock, we may contact you to offer a substitute of equal value or a refund. Prices are subject to change without notice.
If you experience a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as you receive the package, but no later than 48 hours from the time of delivery. Credit can only be issued with prior authorization from our customer service department and in some cases, we may request the product be returned. Please do not throw any product away prior to contacting us.
Please review the following EXCEPTIONS to our refund policy:
1. Customer provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address when placing the order.
2. Delivered packages were left outside for extended periods of time.
3. Weather or natural disaster delayed delivery of package(s).
4. Customer selected products or quantities in error.
5. Products were delivered fresh, intact and as described on website, but customer simply did not care for the ‘taste’ of the product, or it did not meet their ‘expectations’.
6. Customer did not contact us within 48 hours of the time of delivery.
