Muhlhauser Waldmeister Green Woodruff Syrup

Waldmeister (English: woodruff) syrup is a very popular ingredient in Germany to flavor and color everything from beer ("Berliner Weisse mit Schuss"), wine bowle ("Maibowle), ice cream or even chewing gum and candy. Sweet woodruff grows in Northern Europe and in the US and Canada as well. However, the plant's culinary use limited mostly to the Middle European region.
